Data protection

The company wentronic Electronic Components Handels GmbH takes the protection of personal data very seriously. We want you to know when we save which data, and what we use this data for. In our capacity as a private company, we are subject to the provisions of the Federal German Data Protection Act [Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (“BDSG”)] and of the State Treaty on Media [Mediendienstestaatsvertrag (“MdStV”)].


Personal data

Personal data is data which could be used to ascertain your identity. This includes information such as your correct name, address, postal address, telephone number. This does not include information which cannot be linked directly to your genuine identity (such as for example favoured websites or the number of users of a site). It is essentially the case that you can use our online service without disclosing your identity. If you register for one of our personalised services or order a product online, we will ask you to state your name and other personal information. You are free to decide whether to enter such data.

We save your details on specially-protected servers in Germany. Access to these is possible only for a small number of specially authorised persons who are responsible for the technical, commercial or editorial support of the servers.

In conjunction with your access, data will be stored on our servers for backup purposes which could possibly facilitate identification (for example IP address, date, time and pages visited). No personal evaluation takes place.

Forwarding of personal information to third parties

Insofar as we are obliged to do this by law or a court order, we shall forward your data to bodies which are entitled to demand information.

Right of retraction

Children
